The three-phase wire on the primary side of the zero-sequence current transformer passes through the iron core, and the secondary coil is wound on the iron core. Under normal circumstances, because the three-phase current on the primary side of the zero-sequence current transformer is symmetrical, the vector sum is zero, no magnetic flux is generated in the iron core, and there is no current in the secondary coil.
When a single-phase ground fault occurs in the system, the sum of the three-phase currents is not zero, and a zero-sequence magnetic flux appears in the iron core, which induces a potential on the secondary coil, and the secondary current flows through the relay to make it act.
The zero-sequence current transformer is used to detect trace amounts and detect whether there is leakage. How does the zero-sequence current transformer send an action signal so that the actuator can execute it, and does it have an output contact? The zero-sequence current transformer itself has no output contact and must be used in conjunction with the leakage protection relay.
