Flexible Rogowski Coils​

Electrical safety: Fault testing for UPS ( uninterruptible power supplies )

The current output of a high-power uninterruptible power supply for emergency backup was measured and monitored during conversion to emergency backup to determine whether there were any discontinuities in the current waveform that could adversely affect the power station equipment.

Thanks to its flexible construction, the Rogowski can be easily installed around the conductor under test even if there is only limited space around it.

Power equipment application: tracing earth faults in transmission and distribution systems

When an earth fault is detected in the main output connection of a large generator, the generator is put out of service. When a Rogowski coil is installed, this fault can easily be traced and thus resolved.

Monitoring applications: testing current transformer secondary currents

In some systems related to metering currents, it is most important that the secondary circuit is not disturbed. Rogowski coils can be used to monitor the secondary current without any disconnection being required. The use of Rogowski coils ensures that no additional impedance is reflected into the secondary circuit.
